Clara Rhodes
Staff Paralegal – Employment Law – Team Member since 2006
Clara Rhodes is primarily responsible for handling new clients seeking representation,
drafting pleadings, case management and file maintenance. Rhodes earned her
Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Memphis, and is also a
certified paralegal. Her enthusiasm for her job and organizational skills make her a
valuable asset to the Crone & Mason team.
In her three and a half years as a paralegal, Rhodes has focused on the area of
employment law, which she finds rewarding. She sees a lot of strength in her supportive
role on the team and enjoys being the first voice a new client in distress hears when they
call seeking help. “I like to take them from their first call where they’re in sheer panic
and don’t know what to do to a favorable end result where they’re relieved and calm,”
she said.
When she’s not in the office, offering a listening ear to troubled clients, Rhodes is home
with her husband and two children. She enjoys playing basketball and went to the state
playoffs twice during her time on the Hamilton High School girls’ basketball team.
Clara Rhodes’ Proudest Moment at Crone & Mason, plc:
“Mostly, I enjoy the compliments I’ve received. One time when I first started with Crone
& Mason, the team was talking about how to best organize new client intakes, which was
primarily my job. Alan said to me, ‘Just keep doing what you’re doing because whatever
you’re doing works.’ ”
You Might Be Surprised to Learn that Clara is:
A competitive basketball player. She plays at Idlewild Presbyterian Church. “I give good game,”
she says, laughing.
What Clara Likes Most About her Job is:
“Being involved in a case from the very beginning to its conclusion and being able to help
comfort the client throughout the process.”
